Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ResumeForge.ai ("ResumeForge," "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ResumeForge.ai, operated by B.J. Blaker.

2. Description of Service

ResumeForge is an AI-powered platform that helps job seekers improve their resumes, create job-targeted resumes and cover letters, and track job applications. The Service uses artificial intelligence to provide coaching, suggestions, and document generation based on content you provide.

3. Account Registration

To use ResumeForge, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

4. Free Trial and Pricing

Every new account receives 10 free AI generation sessions. A "session" is defined as one end-to-end document generation — the final step where the AI produces a resume, cover letter, or both. Conversational messages with the AI coaching assistant do not count as sessions.

Additional sessions may be purchased in the following tiers:

  • Starter: 3 sessions for $5 (one-time purchase)
  • Job Search Pack: 10 sessions for $15 (one-time purchase)
  • Pro: 150 sessions per month for $40/month (subscription)

Prices are in US dollars and may change with notice. One-time purchases do not expire. Pro subscriptions renew monthly and can be canceled at any time through the billing portal — you retain access until the end of the billing period.

5. Payments and Refunds

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. By making a purchase, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method for the amount specified.

Refund requests may be submitted to support@resumeforge.ai within 7 days of purchase for unused session packs. Pro subscription refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Partially used session packs are not eligible for refunds.

6. AI-Generated Content

ResumeForge uses artificial intelligence to generate resume content, cover letters, and coaching suggestions. You should understand and agree that:

  • AI-generated content is based solely on information you provide. The AI is designed to never fabricate or invent facts, experience, or qualifications.
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before using it in job applications.
  • AI suggestions are recommendations, not guarantees. We do not guarantee that using ResumeForge will result in interviews, offers, or employment.
  • You retain full ownership of all content you provide and all documents generated for you.
  • We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your generated documents.

7. Your Content and Data

You retain ownership of all content you upload, paste, or create within ResumeForge, including resumes, cover letters, and application data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

You can export your data at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to generate false, misleading, or fraudulent resume content
  • Attempt to circumvent session limits, rate limits, or payment requirements
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the Service to harass, harm, or impersonate others
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep ResumeForge available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service interruptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeForge and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or employment opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements. We do not warrant that AI-generated content will be perfectly accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular job application.

12. Intellectual Property

The ResumeForge name, logo, branding, and the underlying software (excluding your content) are the intellectual property of ResumeForge.ai. You may not use our branding without written permission. The AI prompts, algorithms, and user interface design are proprietary.

13. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, all your personal data, resumes, generated documents, and application tracking data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. We will provide notice before termination unless the violation requires immediate action (e.g., fraud or abuse).

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of ResumeForge after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
